1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. For issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents to allot a plot of land to the petitioner for which the petitioner had applied in the Housing Board."
2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the parties are in agreement that in the present case, in terms of the Digha Acquired Land Settlement Act, 2010, the money deposited by the petitioner has to be refunded back to him along with compound interest at the rate of 8 per cent per annum, for the
Patna High Court CWJC No.10963 of 2014(7) dt.26-06-2024 2/2 period starting from the date of deposit till the date of refund.
3. In view of the aforesaid, I grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the Managing Director, Bihar State Housing Board, Patna for payment/refund of the amount deposited by him along with interest, as aforesaid and in case appropriate application is filed within a period of eight weeks from today, appropriate orders shall be passed thereon, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.
4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
