Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is husband of victim of dowry death. Wife of the petitioner died in unnatural circumstances in the house of the petitioner. There is allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same before death. Other witnesses have also supported the allegation of demand of dowry.

Considering the entire material, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail for the present in connection with S.T. No. 508 of 2018 arising out of Nalanda Police Station Case No. 60 of 2018 pending in the court of learned 7th Additional Sessions Judge, Nalanda at Biharsharif.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14075 of 2019(4) dt.14-05-2019 2/2 Hence, prayer for bail is refused.

Since the petitioner is in custody since 23.05.2018, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
