The petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondent- Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura for supplying the original certificate of LL.M. Course, which the petitioner has successfully passed in the Session 2014-2016. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has passed LL.M. Course in May, 2016 and a provisional certificate was issued to the petitioner at that point of time. By virtue of her LL.M. Degree, the petitioner pursued her further studies and enrolled herself for Ph.D. Course in

Patna High Court CWJC No.4191 of 2023(3) dt.06-11-2023 2/3 Patna University, where the original certificate is being demanded. Thereafter, an application for grant of LL.M. Certificate was submitted by the petitioner on 21.06.2022 through on-line mode and she deposited requisite fee of Rs. 200/- for the same but despite lapse of more than one year, the original certificate is not being given to the petitioner. 3.

Learned counsel for the University submits that a letter was sent to the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor for grant of deemed date for supply/ furnishing of relevant certificate to the petitioner but the same has not been received from the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

Heard learned counsel for the parties. From perusal of records, it appears that the petitioner has passed LL.M. Examination in the year, 2016 and accordingly, she applied for grant of original LL.M. Certificate along with requisite fees but the same is not being provided by the University.

Accordingly, I direct the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura to hand over the original certificate of LL.M. Course to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from today.
