2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Bettiah Muffasil P.S. Case No. 493 of 2024 registered for offences under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

3. The recovery is of 840 liters of illicit liquor. Petitioner has 14 criminal antecedents and almost all the antecedents are under Excise Act.

4. Considering the recovery and the criminal antecedents, this court is of the considered opinion that petitioner does not deserve the privilege of anticipatory bail in the present case.

5. The application for anticipatory bail is, accordingly, dismissed.

6. The Superintendent of Police, Bettiah, West Champaran will examine the law as to whether offence punishable under Section 111 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 is made out in the facts of the case or not and will act accordingly.
