1. Though the present writ petition has been filed for

Patna High Court CWJC No.5987 of 2020(3) dt.17-10-2024 2/2 directing the respondent-State to consider the claim of the petitioners for settlement of land, appertaining to Plot No.1142 and 762, Khata No.592 and 268, situated at Mauza-Madheli, Anchal, Kursela, District-Katihar, inasmuch as the petitioners are landless and displaced persons and are residing over the said land in question since the year, 1960, however, at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the District Magistrate, Katihar, for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
