2. The petitioner was granted the privilege of anticipatory bail by order dated 03.09.2024 passed in A.B.P. No. 2278 of 2024 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge 2nd, Vaishali at Hajipur, and he was directed to surrender and furnish bail bonds within a period of four weeks. The petitioner did not comply with the said order and instead he filed Cr. Misc. No. 100 of 2024 for extension of time to surrender and furnishing bail bonds. By order dated 19.11.2024, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 100 of 2024, the learned District and Sessions Judge II Vaishali at Hajipur, while allowing the petition of the petitioner in the interest of justice, directed the petitioner to surrender before the court below within three weeks from the date of the order and furnish bail bond and also directed to deposit Rs. 1500 as cost.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16990 of 2025(2) dt.11-05-2026 2/2 The petitioner thereafter also did not choose to appear before the learned court below and comply with the order dated 19.11.2024. Again, the petitioner filed a modification petition seeking modification of the said order, which, too, also came to be dismissed by order dated 01.02.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 5 of 2025 by the learned District and Additional Sessions Judge II, Vaishali at Hajipur.
3. Heard the parties and perused the records
4. Considering gross latches on the part of the petitioner on two occasions in flouting the orders of the court, no leniency can be granted to the petitioner.
5. This petition is accordingly dismissed.
