The petitioner is in custody in connection with Sangrampur P.S. Case No. 212 of 2018 for the offence under Sections 272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a) and 41(i) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 13.12.2018. He further submits that in the instant case 3456 litres of foreign liquor was seized from a truck. He further submits that the petitioner is neither the owner of the truck nor the owner of the liquor and he is only a cleaner.
