The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Gandhi Maidan PS case no. 36 of 2018 instituted for the offences punishable under Section 387 of Indian Penal Code. The allegation is regarding the informant having received a call from mobile no. 8794225224 asking him to pay a sum of Rs. 1 lac by way of ransom.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated on the pretext of the co-accused namely Somesh Kumar having named the petitioner as an accomplice during the course of investigation after he was apprehended by the police. It is further submitted that

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the abovenamed petitioner is directed to be released on regular bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Judge VI-cum-ACJM, Patna in connection with Gandhi Maidan PS case no. 36 of 2018.
