The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sathi P.S. Case No. 49 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation is regarding recovery of 30 liters of illicit liquor from a bamboo orchard. However, the petitioner was caught and it is stated that the said illicit liquor belongs to him. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and in fact the bamboo orchard does not belong to the petitioner. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise, West Champaran at Bettiah in connection with Sathi P.S.
