The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Laxmipur/Gidhour P.S. Case No. 446 of 2019, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Prosecution case in brief is that informant's daughter was married with this petitioner on 10.12.2018 and after marriage, this petitioner and his family members due to nonfulfillment of demand of dowry, subjected the daughter of informant to all sorts of torture.

In view of the statement of victim girl (wife of petitioner) under Section 164 Cr.P.C wherein she has specifically stated that it was this petitioner who demanded dowry and assaulted her due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above-named on anticipatory bail.
