2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Nardiganj P.S. Case No. 140 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Sections 304B, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, the accusation against the accused persons including the petitioner is of committing murder of the Informant's daughter by strangulation for nonfulfillment of dowry demand.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence as alleged against her and has falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner is the grand-mother of the deceased's husband

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.15931 of 2025(2) dt.27-03-2025 2/3 and has no concern with the alleged occurrence as he lives separately from the husband of the deceased. The petitioner has been made accused in this case merely on the basis of suspicion and, except this, there is nothing against the petitioner in the entire record of this case. The husband of the deceased has already been granted regular bail. He further submits that there is no specific or direct allegation of any overt act against the petitioner rather the same is general and omnibus in nature. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged occurrence. The petitioner is a lady who is 70 years of age. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is languishing in judicial custody since 24.12.2024 without any rhymes or reason.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the co-accused Ram Keshwar Chouhan @ Lal Keshwar Chohan, the father-in-law of the deceased, has already been granted bail by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 01.10.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 64864 of 2024.

6. On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner, stating that the offence alleged is serious in nature.

7. Having heard rival contention of both the parties and considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case,

No.15931 of 2025(2) dt.27-03-2025 3/3 the period of custody of the petitioner, the petitioner having no criminal antecedent as also the petitioner being lady of 70 years of age, let the petitioner, abovenamed, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Nardiganj P.S. Case No. 140 of 2024.
