2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with S.Tr. No. 158 of 2025 arising out of Shikarpur P.S. Case No. 720 of 2024 registered for the offence under Section 140(2) of the BNS.

3. As per the prosecution case, the victim was kidnapped by unknown criminals, who was released after payment of ransom money.

4. The petitioner is in custody since 15.10.2025 and the name of the petitioner has come in the self inculpatory statement of one Pappu Patel @ Pappu Kumar.

5. Considering the nature of allegation levelled

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16533 of 2026(2) dt.24-04-2026 2/2 against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

7. It is, however, clarified that the observations made herein are limited to the adjudication of the present bail application and shall not prejudice the case of the petitioner at any subsequent stage of the trial and this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
