1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "(1) That by the instant application, the petitioner seeks issuance of necessary order/orders, direction/directions for quashing/setting aside the show cause notice (Annexure-P/4), issued by respondent No. 1, asking explanation from the petitioner, as to why petitioner and others be not banned for lifetime to play cricket and further issue writ of Certiorari for commanding the respondent authorities to allow the petitioner and other private respondents to participate in the ongoing Ranji Matches of the present session."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of.
