1. Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Bhagalpur to pay disability pension in terms of Bihar State Disability Social Security Pension Scheme, 2007, since the year, 2015, inasmuch as the same was sanctioned qua the petitioner herein, vide letter dated 09.09.2015, issued by the Block Development Officer, Kharik, Bhagalpur, nonetheless, the payment is being made to the petitioner only from the month of April, 2020.

2. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits by referring to paragraph no.11 of the counter affidavit, filed in the present case that the due amount shall be paid to the petitioner without any delay.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.6027 of 2020(3) dt.17-10-2024 2/2 case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Bhagalpur to ensure payment of the arrears of disability pension to the petitioner with effect from the date of sanction of the same i.e. 09.09.2015 upto the month of March, 2020, within a period of four weeks from today.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
