The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 387/506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 66 of the I.T. Act.

It is alleged that from the mobile of the petitioner, a ransom of Rs. 40 lacs was demanded.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that F.I.R. has been lodged after a delay of 12 days without there being any plausible explanation of delay. Name of the petitioner transpired during course of investigation.

However, learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the bail petition and submitted that during course of investiation, in paragraph 18 of the case diary, it has come that the mobile phone, from which ransom was demanded, was issued in favour of the petitioner.
