The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 392 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per FIR, it is a case of theft of pickup van bearing Reg. No. BR05-GA-7324 and other articles from the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. The petitioner is not named in the FIR and merely on the basis of suspicion, he has falsely been implicated in this case. It is

Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail and submitted that there is direct allegation of theft of pickup van and other articles against the petitioner. As per para-15 of the case diary the stolen pickup van, one pistol and one live cartridge were recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that there is direct allegation against the petitioner of committing theft of pickup van and other articles, this court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and, as such, his prayer for bail stands rejected.

The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as soon as possible.
