Petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 379, 498A, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, petitioner along with other family members committed torture on the informant due to non-fulfilment of dowry demand.

Petitioner no. 1 is second wife of the co-accused Ravindra Prasad and the petitioner no.2 is the mother-in-law of informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16254 of 2023(3) dt.20-06-2023 2/2 petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. It is further submitted that the petitioners are separate in mess and business and have got no concern with the affairs of the couple. Thrust of allegation is against the husband of the informant.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioners, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran in connection with Turkauliya P.S. Case No. 1177 of 2022 subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
