2. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 04.07.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 21660 of 2025 by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, whereby anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner subject to the condition that in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below, he shall be released on bail, provided that he surrenders within a period of six weeks from the date of the order.
3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner could not surrender within the time stipulated in the aforesaid order due to unavoidable circumstances and, therefore, seeks further extension of time for
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19268 of 2026(2) dt.21-07-2026 2/2 surrender before the learned court below. It is further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to deposit a sum of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand only) with a charitable organization, without prejudice to his case.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, the present modification application is allowed.
5. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted further time of four (04) weeks from today to surrender before the court concerned and furnish bail bond subject to the condition that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees TwentyFive Thousand only) with Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Latu Maharaj Path, Opp. Circuit House, Chapra, Biharand shall produce the valid receipt thereof before the learned court below at the time of surrender.
6. It is made clear that the bail bond of the petitioner shall be accepted only after due verification of the genuineness and validity of the said receipt by the learned court concerned.
7. The order dated 04.07.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 21660 of 2025 stands modified to the aforesaid extent. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Shishir/- U T
