Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 498A/354b/379/34 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, petitioners along with other family members committed torture on the informant due to non-fulfilment of dowry demand.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in-laws of the victim. They are separate in mess and business. Allegation of torture are general and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16954 of 2023(2) dt.16-05-2023 2/2 omnibus in nature against them. Thrust of allegation is against the husband of the victim.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let these petitioners, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Benipur Darbhanga in Bahera Police Station Case No. 400 of 2022, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
