In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Rosera P.S. Case No. 234 of 2019, G.R. No.995 of 2019 registered for offence punishable under section 272, 273/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. The police, on secret information, intercepted a pickup van and motor cycle. Some accused persons fled away and some accused persons were arrested. A huge quantity of liquor has been recovered.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a student and he is preparing for competitive examination.

No.13901 of 2020(5) dt.17-02-2021 2/2 Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly his prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the court below within three weeks from today, the court below without being prejudiced by this order will dispose of the case of the petitioner, preferably on the same day.
