1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) For issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari or any other appropriate writ(s), order(s), direction(s) for quashing of final merit list dated 17.11.2023 issued by the Selection

Patna High Court CWJC No.4717 of 2024(2) dt.04-04-2024 2/2 Committee headed by the District Magistrate, Arwal, whereby candidature for the petitioner for Home Guard I view of Advertisement No.02/2011 has been rejected on the basis of frivolous ground.

(ii) For issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ/ direction/ order for commanding the respondent concerned to re-examine the documents concerned with the petitioner's educational qualification and to take afresh decision in its true perspective with regard to final section of the petitioner as Home Guard under the district Arwal."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the respondentauthorities for redressal of their subsisting grievances, if any. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. The present writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
