In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 214 of 2017, registered for the offence under Sections 323, 406, 498-A, 384 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, but the cognizance has been taken under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
This matter was sent to the Mediation Board to resolve the dispute between the parties and the Mediation Board
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.15038 of 2019(4) dt.17-08-2019 2/2 submitted its report having stated that the dispute between the parties has been resolved through the process of mediation and attached the terms of settlement mutually agreed upon by them. In such view of the matter, the provisional bail granted to the petitioners vide order dated 13.03.2019 is hereby confirmed. However, it is made clear that if the petitioner would resile from the terms of the settlement, then the relief granted to the petitioner will be treated to have been withdrawn.
