JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 11-03-2019 Heard counsel for the petitioner and the respondents. The writ petition had originally been filed for a direction upon the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the provisional list of candidates prepared for making contractual appointment for one year as clerk in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department (Chakbandi Directorate). During pendency of the writ petition the selection has finally been done on contractual basis for a period of one year under letter dated 12.11.2014 issued by the Chakbandi Directorate. The period of contractual engagement was valid for one year. The petitioner has sought to assail the selection by
Patna High Court CWJC No.11855 of 2014 dt.11-03-2019 2/2 filing an Interlocutory Application. The only ground taken is that the petitioner is far better than those persons whose name has been included in the final list.
No substantial ground has been made out warranting interference in the selection done. It is also observed that the selection was done in February, 2014 for appointment on contractual basis one year and when the matter is taken up today, more than four years have elapsed.
