05 to grant a license for acquisition and possession of fire arms (Pistol) to the petitioner in pursuance to his application as contained in AnnexureP/3 and also in view of the

Lakhisarai vide his letter no.811 dated 03.02.2023 as contained in AnnexureP/8."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner, filed for grant of arms license on 16.08.2019.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is directed by this Court.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai to consider the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license and dispose off the same by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, in case the aforesaid application is still pending, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
