The present application has been filed for modification of order dated 23.11.2022, passed in Cr. Misc. No.55650 of 2022 to the extent of extending the period to surrender and recall the direction to deposit a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- in the account of Patna High Court Legal Services Committee, Patna. On the grounds mentioned in the modification application and in the interest of justice, the period to surrender is extended by four weeks from today, in connection with Mahua P.S. Case No.392 of 2022, pending in the court of learned Exclusive Special Excise Court 2nd -cum- Additional District and Sessions Judge, Hajipur, Vaishali, subject to deposit of Rs.2000/- (Rs.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20570 of 2023(2) dt.05-04-2023 2/2 Two Thousand) in the Victim Compensation Fund, Bihar. However, I am not inclined to recall the condition to deposit Rs.2,00,000/- in the account of Patna High Court Legal Services Committee, Patna.

The order dated 23.11.2022 is modified to the extent as indicated above.

Accordingly, this modification application stands disposed of.
