The petitioner, who is in custody since 07.01.2020, seeks bail in connection with Baikunthpur P. S. Case No. 01 of 2020 dated 06.01.2020 instituted for the offence under 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
It appears that 299.34 litres of liquor has been recovered from a house with asbestos roof situated close to the house of one Kundan Singh. The petitioner, though is alleged to have run away from the place of occurrence at the time of raid, but the fact of the matter

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner, period of custody and clean antecedents, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions JudgeII-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Gopalganj in connection with Baikunthpur P. S. Case No. 01 of 2020. The application stands allowed.
