The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Bettiah Town P.S.Case No.558 of 2017 registered for offences punishable under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
The petitioner is not named in the FIR and allegation against the petitioner is about recovery of 413 ltrs. of foreign liquor from the Pick-up Van.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has been arrested at the spot and his name has been disclosed by the Driver of the vehicle and though he is accused in three other similar type of cases and two of them
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47257 of 2017 (2) dt.12-10-2017 2/2 related to the present case. The petitioner is in custody for about two months.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, this application is disposed of with direction to the learned court below to expedite the trial of the petitioner and try to conclude it within further three months and if not concluded he shall release the petitioner to his own satisfaction.
