This case is taken up through video conferencing. The petitioner seeks bail in Saraiya P.S. Case No.496 of 2019, registered under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The informant got information that Pappu Thakur @ Girdhari Thakur was indulged in illicit trade of liquor and on such the police went to the house of the petitioner. The petitioner managed to flee away. On search altogether 24.345 litres of Indian made foreign liquor of different brands was recovered from the house of the petitioner and for that the petitioner is in jail since 22.01.2020. Considering the facts afroesaid, petitioner, namely, Pappu Thakur @ Bhikhari Thakur @ Girdhari Thakur is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise Act, Muzaffarpur in connection with Saraiya P.S. Case No.496 of 2019.
