The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, about 42 litres of liquor was recovered from the hut belonging to the petitioner and he was taken into custody.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case. No incriminating article has been recovered from his possession. He is in custody since 20.1.2022 and has no criminal antecedent. Chargesheet has been submitted in the case. Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16542 of 2022(2) dt.22-04-2022 2/2 into consideration the facts of the case together with the petitioner not having any criminal antecedent and investigation in the case having concluded, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Pupri P.S. Case no. 14 of 2022 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Exclusive Excise Court-II, Sitamarhi.
