In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- " That this writ application is being filed for a direction to the concerned respondents authorities to reappoint/continuation the petitioner on the post of Electric Technician known as Manav Bal. The petitioner had been removed illegally from the said post on 01 July 2016 by the concerned authorities and further prayed for other necessary direction to the concerned authorities in the circumstances set forth."

3. The petitioner was appointed on contractual basis to

Patna High Court CWJC No.7984 of 2021 dt.11-02-2022 2/2 the post of Electric Technician (known as Manav Bal). His service has been discontinued with effect from 01.07.2016 whereas the present petition is presented in the year 2021 after lapse of nearly four years in seeking reappointment and continuation. The petitioner has no vested or legal right to continue to hold the post of electric technician for the reasons that his initial appointment was on contractual basis. Therefore, the petitioner has no right to claim over the post of Electrical Technician as he was not appointed on permanent basis so as to examine under what circumstances he has been removed.

4. In the light of these facts and circumstances the petitioner has not made out a case, accordingly, the instant petition stands dismissed.
