2. Learned Advocate for the Union of India as well as respondent nos. 2 and 3 are present.

3. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the respondents to extend family pension w.e.f. 05.05.2021, the date on which her husband, namely, Bhim Shankar Manubans, who was getting employee pension vide PPO No. 39691, died on 05.05.2021.

4. Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent nos. 2 and 3 with a categorical averment that the petitioner has been allowed family pension with effect from due

Patna High Court CWJC No.4680 of 2022 dt.24-04-2025 2/2 date i.e. 06.05.2021 along with its arrears, a copy of the updation of date of death and consequential effect in other beneficiary has been placed on record as Annexure-R/1.

5. It is further contended that the office of the answering respondents had also requested the petitioner vide letter bearing no. BR/MUZ/PENSION/25 dated 15.04.2024 to submit her Bank account details. In response thereto the petitioner submitted necessary details and thereafter her family pension has been already started. Specific contention has been made that the grievance of the petitioner came to be redressed.

6. Considering the averments made in the counter affidavit, this Court does not find any reason or occasion to continue with the present writ petition and, as such, it stands closed.

7. However, in case, the petitioner has still any grievance with regard to the calculation and arrears, she may approach before the appropriate authority.
