JUSTICE SHIVAJI PANDEY ORAL ORDER 08-06-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State through virtual court proceeding. In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Ghoshi P.S. Case No. 195 of 2019 registered for offences under sections 341, 323, 307, 498(A) and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.
An allegation has been made against the petitioner that he used to come to the house in drunken condition and torture his wife physically and mentally for fulfillment of the dowry demand. He also tried to burn his wife by sprinkling kerosene oil on her but, somehow, she managed to save her. As it is a matrimonial dispute, this Court, looking to the present situation arising out of Covid-19 outbreak, grant bail to the petitioner, above named, on furnishing personal bail bond to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Jehanabad in connection with Ghoshi P.S. Case No. 195 of 2019, subject to condition that the court below, time to time, will call both the parties and monitor the behavior of the petitioner towards his wife and children.
