The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Chakia P.S. Case No. 57 of 2016 registered for the offence punishable under Section 414/34 and 11 (C) (I), 12 (a), (b), (C), (d) (e) of Prevention of Cruelty of Animal Act, 1960 and 47, 48, 49, 50 and 96 of the Exportation of Animal Act, 1978. The allegation is that 16 cattle were recovered from the possession of the petitioner and other co-accused persons. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner and he has got clean antecedent and he is in custody since 24.07.2017.
