The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Tajpur P.S. Case No. 610 of 2022 registered under Sections 272, 273, 420, 467, 468, 471, 34 of the I.P.C. and Section 30(a), 32(i) (ii), 36, 41(i)(ii) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner.

Learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State opposed the prayer of the petitioner by contending that petitioner is named in the first information report. Further he

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.17062 of 2023(2) dt.19-05-2023 2/2 submits that from perusal of records, it is apparent that petitioner has long criminal history. Hence, he does not deserve to be enlarged on anticipatory bail.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and nature of the allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
