JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 26-03-2019 The short prayer of the petitioner in the present case is that despite the petitioner having filed an application for compassionate appointment in the year 2016 in lieu of death of his mother in harness on 14.02.2016, no final decision has been taken in the matter.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that an appropriate application for grant of appointment on compassionate ground was filed by the petitioner before the

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Patliputra University submits that now, the college in question i.e. the B.D. College, Patna has come under the jurisdiction of the newly constituted Patliputra University, Patna, hence, the petitioner may file a fresh representation in order to expedite the matter. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of this case, the Registrar, Magadh University is directed to transmit the records pertaining to the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground to the Patliputra University forthwith i.e.

within a period of two weeks of the receipt / production of a copy of this order and in the meantime, the petitioner may also file a fresh application before the Registrar, Paltiputra University, Patna for appointment on compassionate ground. In case, the fresh application is filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today before the Patliputra University, Patna for appointment on compassionate ground, appropriate decision would be taken by the Registrar, Patliputra University, Patna within a period of six weeks thereafter with regard to appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground.
