The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No. 209 of 2016 (G.R. No. 2694 of 2016) registered under Sections 302, 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case due to land dispute. Petitioner has no criminal history.

Learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State opposed the prayer of the petitioner by contending that there is direct allegation against the petitioner of killing the son of the informant. Hence, this is not a fit case of anticipatory bail.
