Counsel for the Bank seriously disputes the petitioner's claim. He submits that petitioner was never in the regular employment of the Bank, and therefore, his claim that he could not be removed without recourse to a proceeding in accordance with law, is wholly unsustainable.

Counsel for the petitioner makes a limited prayer that the Deputy General Manager should dispose off his application dated 03.06.2014 claiming that he be allowed to perform the casual work of sweeper as before.

The Deputy General Manager, having regard to the
