The petitioners filed petition for mutation of their names with regard to the lands standing in the name of late Mahesh Singh, the great grandfather of the petitioners, but the Circle Officer, Bihpur, District Bhagalpur sat over the matter and did not pass any order. The Circle Officer, Bihpur, Bhagalpur is obliged to dispose of the petition filed by the petitioners for getting their names mutated with regard to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.4610 of 2020(2) dt.06-03-2020 2/2 lands mentioned in the name of their great grandfather in accordance with law and there is no justification to sit over the matter and keep the mutation petition pending for years. Having considered the facts, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Circle Officer, Bihpur, Bhagalpur to pass order in accordance with law on the petition of the petitioners filed on 19.12.2019 within three months from the date of receipt of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
