Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Rupaspur P.S. Case No. 243 of 2016 registered under Sections 420/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation in brief is that the petitioner was one of the acquaintances of the informant's father-in-law who had applied for appointment to the post of Assistant in the Secretariat and it is alleged that this petitioner introduced one Upendra Narayan Singh to the informant, promised to get her through the examination and for that Rs.15,00,000/- was demanded and initially Rs.9,00,000/- was paid to Upendra Narayan Singh. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was acquainted with the family members and only

No.39408 of 2018(2) dt.09-07-2018 2/2 allegation is that he introduced Upendra Narayan Singh who had promised to get the informant through the examination and the money was transferred to his account and not to the account of the petitioner, the petitioner has only one criminal antecedent under Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code in which he is on bail; whereas the learned counsel for the informant submits that the petitioner is the person who introduced the informant to Upendra Narayan Singh.

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, as the specific accusation is against one Upendra Narayan Singh, petitioner Sanjay Singh is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned ACJM-II, Danapur in connection with Rupaspur P.S. Case No.243 of 2016.
