The petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 696 of 2012 for the offence punishable under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3, 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who is of clean antecedent, is innocent and has not committed any offence. In fact, the petitioner happens to be mother-in-law of the complainant and she has no concern with the internal affairs of the complainant and her husband. There is general and omnibus allegation leveled against the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.15174 of 2019(3) dt.20-05-2019 2/2 petitioner and no specific case is made out against her. Hence, the petitioner may be granted the privilege of anticipatory bail. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named, petitioner in the event of surrender within a period of four weeks be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banka in connection with Complaint Case No. 696 of 2012 subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
