Counsel for the petitioner submits that opportunity was not given to the petitioner before terminating his contractual engagement.
As admitted in writ petition, petitioner was engaged on 01.04.2013 on the post of Block Information Technology Assistant. Petitioner was in custody upon his arrest pursuant to a raid on 17.01.2014. While he was in judicial custody, Collector, Munger has terminated contractual engagement of the petitioner in view of his arrest. Petitioner has, thereafter filed a
Patna High Court CWJC No.12650 of 2014(2) dt.29-04-2019 2/2 representation before the District Magistrate, Munger on 04.03.2014 claiming that he should be allowed to work on contractual basis.
This court does not find any reason to interfere with the termination order. However, it is open to the District Magistrate, Munger to take decision on pending representation of the petitioner under annexure 12 dated 04.03.2014. Writ petition is dismissed.
