The petitioners pray for grant of bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 385 and 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per prosecution case, petitioner no.1 demanded extortion from the informant and threatened with dire consequences.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioners that petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case and, as a matter of fact, petitioner no.1 earlier lent Rs 1 lakh to the informant and when repeated demand was made, informant lodged the present case.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16567 of 2022(2) dt.19-05-2022 2/2 Petitioners are in custody since 20.1.2022.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioners be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate I, Khagaria in Parbatta P.S. Case no. 188/2021.
