This application for grant of regular bail arises out of L.N.M.U. P.S. Case No.296 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under sections 302 and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the deceased was killed by her own brothers including the petitioner as she was suspected to be having illicit relationship with other persons.

The petitioner is in custody since 02.10.2023. 5.
The sickle used in the crime has been recovered near the house of the petitioner. The accused persons were found absconding. When the petitioner was arrested, the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.18529 of 2024(3) dt.08-05-2024 2/2 pant which he was wearing contained blood-stains, which was not explained by the petitioner. During the investigation, it has come that it is the petitioner who had cut the neck of the deceased. 6.
Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail. Accordingly, this application is accordingly rejected. (Sandeep Kumar, J) pawan/- U T
