JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 09-05-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State. This application for anticipatory bail arises out of Kudhani P.S. Case No. 05 of 1998, disclosing offences under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

Considering the seriousness of the allegation and the fact that the petitioner has criminal antecedent, I am not inclined to entertain this application.

This application for grant of anticipatory bail is rejected. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court below within four weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for regular bail shall be considered on its own merit, without being prejudiced by rejection of present application for grant of anticipatory bail.
