The petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Jhanjharpur(Araria Sangram) P.S.Case No. 157 of 2017 registered under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian penal Code.

Allegation in brief is that the petitioner, the husband, used to make demand of further dowry from his wife is in-laws and used to torture his wife and marriage was solemnized five years back and further, as per the FIR, the petitioner informed the sister-in-law of his wife(informant) that his wife had committed suicide.

Submission is that marriage was performed five years back and allegation of making demand of money for purchasing she-buffalo is a false accusation; in fact his wife had

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.32547 of 2018(3) dt.20-07-2018 2/2 committed suicide and information was given by the petitioner to her parents.

Having considered the specific accusation against the petitioner, husband of the deceased, presently the prayer of bail of the petitioner is rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within one and half year. If trail does not get concluded within the stipulated period petitioner may renew prayer of bail.
