JUSTICE NAVANITI PRASAD SINGH ORAL ORDER 23-05-2016 The petitioners apprehend their arrest in relation to Khagaria (Chitraguptra Nagar) P.S. Case No. 27 of 2016 registered under Sections 420, 468, 467 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.
The allegation is that on reconciliation of the computerized accounts of the North Bihar Power Distribution Company, serious discrepancies were found. It was found that a daily wager, Dilip Kumar, who was Assistant and responsible for making entries of amount, the same etc, had manipulated the computer to show receipt of various payments in respect of various consumers, which actually had not been made. Further inquiry, after First Information Report, it has been revealed that

No.21927 of 2016 (2) dt.23-05-2016 two petitioners, who were outsource the work of meter reading on daily wages basis, had received certain money from the consumers but had not fully accounted for and it is upon such complaints that these inquiries were initiated. It appears the matter is serious and investigation is going on and in such a situation, I am not inclined entertain this application.
It is, accordingly, dismissed.
However, petitioner is directed to surrender before the court below within four weeks and seek regular bail where his prayer may be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced to the order of this Court.
