This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Mainatand P.S.Case no.53 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 20, 22, 23, 24, 27A & 29 N.D.P.S. Act.

Allegation against the petitioner is about recovery of 09 kg. Ganja from the possession of the petitioner. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that no minimum requirement has been fulfilled, which will appear from perusal of the seizure list. Further submission is that he has no criminal antecedent and the petitioner is aged about 69 years old.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.44555 of 2017 (3) dt.06-11-2017 2/2 Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides and in view of recovery of 09 kg. ganja, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of nine months and if not concluded, the petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
