JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 03-09-2025 Heard Mr. Birendra Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr. Amrendra Kumar, learned counsel for the opposite party no. 2 and Mr. Ajit Kumar, learned APP for the State.
2. The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Agiaon Bazar P.S. Case No. 129 of 2024, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 85, 88, 3(5) of the B.N.S. and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. As per the allegation made in the FIR, the petitioner, who is the father-in-law of the informant, had assaulted the informant, due to which, the informant suffered miscarriage.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner informs that son of the petitioner, who is also accused, is ready to keep his wife, who is daughter-in-law of petitioner, with full dignity and honour and petitioner will not interfere in any manner in their private life.
5. Considering the aforesaid information, I find that the matter can be resolved outside the Court amicably by way of mediation.
6. Both the parties are directed to appear before the learned District Court on 12.09.2025 at 10.30 am.
7. Learned District Court is directed to take necessary action to refer the matter before the learned mediator of the District Mediation Center.
8. Learned Mediator of the District Mediation Center concerned shall make his/her best efforts to settle the dispute amicably and thereafter submit his/her report before the concerned learned District Court, well within a period of four months, till then, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner in connection with the aforesaid case.
9. In case of failure on the part of the petitioner side to appear on 12.09.2025 at 10.30 am. before the learned District Court or any date fixed by the learned Mediator, the interim
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.15774 of 2025(3) dt.03-09-2025 3/3 protection granted to the petitioner shall automatically lose its force and the District Court may take appropriate action in accordance with law.
10. Accordingly, the present bail application stands disposed of.
