The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this application is preferred for issuance of an appropriate writ preferably in the nature of 'Mandamus' commanding upon the respondent authorities to pay to the petitioner his arrears of salary w.e.f. September 1997 to January 2004 in lieu of the duties discharge by the petitioner as Range Officer, Bhagalpur Range in the Bihar State Co-operative Marketing Union Limited." 2.

At the outset, the learned senior counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.9359 of 2016(2) dt.18-10-2023 2/2 seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Managing Director, Bihar State Co-operative Marketing Union Limited, Biscomaun Bhawan, Patna, i.e. respondent no.4 for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

It is needless to state that in case appropriate petition is filed for payment of arrears of salary for the period September, 1997 to January, 2004, the respondent no.4 shall examine the same and considering the scheme of payment as also considering the fact that the petitioner has already stood superannuated long back in the year 2004 shall make payment of the admitted dues, in accordance with law, forthwith. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
