The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Chhatauni P.S. Case No. 88/2018 for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. The allegation is regarding recovery of 156 liters of illicit liquor from a bolero vehicle.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that neither the vehicle belongs to the petitioner nor any recovery has been made from the conscious possession of the petitioner. It is submitted that the petitioner is languishing in custody since 14.4.2018.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioners, above named, are directed to be released on

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33185 of 2018 (2) dt.31-05-2018 2/2 bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 4th Additional Sessions Judge cum Special Judge, Excise, East Champaran at Motihari in connection with Chhatauni P.S.
